3D MODELS - BIM

An example of a project where 3D scanning and 3D modeling was used is that of an industrial area. This area requires an urgent need to refurbish the industrial equipment. The entire area was scanned using the Leica RTC360 laser scanner to obtain a detailed image of the existing structure and equipment.
With the help of this data, 3D models of the entire area, including all installations and equipment, were created. These models allowed engineers to pinpoint problems and develop customized solutions for each area.

3D model of a future store in Park Lake Mall. The 3D scan was performed with the Leica RTC360 laser scanner. The point cloud was registered, georeferenced, cleaned and exported. The 3D model was made based on the point cloud resulting from the 3D scan. The 3D model was handed over to the design company for the interior design of the commercial space.

3D Model of an underground rainwater retention basin that serves a shopping center in Bucharest. The measurements were made for determination of total volume / storage capacity of the tank, and were performed classically (with the total station Trimble S5), due to wastewater remaining on the bottom of the basin.

Triumf Hotel located in the center of Bucharest has a long history, it was built by the National Bank of Romania in 1937 and transformed into a hotel in 1950. On September 12, 2020, the roof of the hotel was partially destroyed by fire. At this moment the hotel is in an extensive renovation process. 3D scanning of the roof was performed with the Leica RTC360 laser scanner to accurately determine its sloping surface.

3D modelling for industrial upgrade. A high resolution scan (3mm @ 10m) was performed with sphere and cloud to cloud registration. The point cloud was modeled to generate the 3D as-build model of the area where the lime sorter will have to be replaced. The French design company was handed the 3D model in SolidWorks format.

Pro bono 3D scanning and modeling in partnership with Romanian Heritage Institute for generation of the 3D solid textured model of Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa amphitheater. A total of 146 3D scanning stations were made, the network had 393 links. The texture of the model was generated based on the resized orthophotoplan produced by photogrammetric methods.

The scope for this project was to generate the 3D - BIM model for design. The scan was performed with Leica RTC360 scanner at medium resolution with spherical and cloud to cloud registration And georeferencing with b&w targets. The networ includes 75 scanning stations and 143 links, the overall accuracy of the network was +/- 3.2mm. The 3D model was handed over to the architecture company for the redevelopment of this building.

This project involved a 3D scan of an attic and terraces for an apartment located in the center of Bucharest. The scan was performed at medium resolution with spheres registration and georeferencing on black and white targets. The resulting point cloud was modeled for generation of the 3D - BIM model that was handed over to the interior design and architectural company for the redevelopment of this space.

For this project we performed a 3D scan after the completion of the concrete and masonry structure. Based on the point cloud resulted after the registration and georeferencing process, the 3D model of the entire structure was generated. The design company was handed the facade plans and the 3D model for designing facades closures.

When an industrial area needs to be updated, a precise 3D model is needed. A high resolution scan (3mm @ 10m) was performed with sphere and cloud to cloud registration. The point cloud was modeled to generate the 3D as-build model of the area where the lime sorter will have to be replaced. The French design company was handed the 3D model in RealWorks format.

3D scanning and modeling are used for three-dimensional inventory of objects. In the case of this statue, a high resolution 3D scan (3mm @ 10m) and spheres registration was performed. The resulting point cloud was filtered by noise and then the 3D model (in mesh format) was generated.
